On 18 April 2013 the Danish Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr. Villy Sovndal, visited Jakarta Center for Law Enforcement Cooperation (JCLEC) as part of his official visit to Indonesia. This visit reinforced strength and support and bilateral cooperation between JCLEC and the Danish Government.
The Danish government launched their ‘Growth Strategy Indonesia’ on March and the Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Indonesia to have political discussions, to meet and talk to the President Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Foreign Minister, and other Indonesian counterparts including JCLEC Executive Directors, Brigadier General Soepartiwi and Federal Agent Brian Thomson.

The Danish Government is one of the longest donors in supporting JCLEC sustainability. 39 training programs for 1084 Indonesian Law Enforcers have been funded by the Danish Government since 2005.  In every training program, Human Rights issues are important part of the curriculum; this is in line with Denmark political support for its human rights activities.
