On Saturday 26 November 2005, 23 participants from the Joint ASEAN Senior Police Officers Course visited AKPOL and were welcomed by the Governor of the Police Academy Police Inspector General Primanto and the Executive Director of JCLEC Police Brigadier General Purwoko. The Course is hosted in turn each year by an ASEAN country and as part of the regular program, it includes a study tour to see things considered ‘special’ being undertaken by policing agencies of the host country. The senior visiting officers were shown a live demonstration of the Platina followed by a tour of the JCLEC facilities. The attending officers were from 10 ASEAN countries including Indonesia, the Phillipines, Thailand, Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam.
