Besides these courses Germany has contributed to JCLEC with the provision of €100,000 to establish a library and research computers. In addition in January 2007 Germany funded the attachment of a long term trainer to the centre. Handing over the certificates to the course participants and thanking the coordinators Ms Melanie Alamir and Mr Hans Zimmermann, and trainers Peter Brietner and Rudolf Morawek, the Ambassador said that it was his first time to JCLEC and that he was impressed by the results he had seen of three years work establishing JCLEC and that he acknowledges the efforts made to improve the investigative capacities of the Indonesian National Police (INP). He stated there certainly will be further assistance from Germany to this institution. He also remarked that this would not be his last visit to JCLEC. The Ambassador’s visit ended with the planting of a Kiara Payung tree. H.E. Paul von Maltzahn planting Kiara Payung tree | Rudolf Morawek, Melanie Alamir, Hans Zimmermann, H.E.
